Gone in the Blink of an Eye

Our weekends always seem to fly by so quickly. Probably due to the fact that we usually have at least one event planned each day, but who doesn't these days? This Sunday was my sister, Nikki's 23rd birthday, so her husband (okay, okay...he's not her husband, he's her boyfriend. But they've been together long enough already. Hint, hint, Corey!) threw her a little birthday get-together Friday night.

Steph, Mikey, Nikki, and Me (By the way, my parents won the award for most original names! Ha!)

It's hard to believe how grown-up everyone is now. Ok, maybe I need to step out of the mom role for a minute, I'm starting to sound like a nostalgic old lady.

On Saturday night, we went to an FFH concert at our church. Which, by the way, I was very excited about for CJ's sake. He's a huge music fan, it really doesn't matter what kind of music, and he's always telling me that he's a rockstar. Of course, I agree with him. :)

He arrived with the essentials, as you can see.

Jordan thought that the ground was much more interesting that Mommy with her camera.

CJ had a blast. He kept saying he wanted to go up to the front so he could see. :)

Speaking of rockstars...ok country stars, but you get the picture. :)

They were singing "Hillbilly Bone" in the middle of WalMart like it was nobody's business.

On Sunday after church we went to Nikki's family birthday party at my grandparent's house. It was no surprise that the very instant Nichole's cake was put down in front of her, she became CJ's and Jordan's best friend.

And this is why...

I have actually forgotten what a cake looks like without mini finger marks in it.

So, that was our packed weekend. I'm pretty sure I made up for the sleep I lost during my 3-hour nap with the boys today. I'm also pretty sure I'll regret that later, but hey I can always clean the house instead of sleeping, right?
