Boring Week=Boring Blog

The last week has probably been one of the bests I've had in a while. And that's because we all had time to relax! It has been so nice looking at the calender and not seeing something planned every day of the week. And I promise you, I'm really not exaggerating! Anyway, last week the boys were going stir crazy because it is slowly heating up so we haven't spent as much time outside as usual. So, we met some friends at the mall to let the kiddos play in the play area.

And this, my friends, is why God did not bless us with daughters. I would go absolutely broke purchasing her wardrobe alone! (The front of the shirt said, "I Believe in Fairies")

About 5 minutes after the kids started playing, one of my absolute worst fears came true. I did not allow my children to play in the play areas at the mall for quite a long time. I look at all of the little kids running around barefoot (notice mine are not!) and can't help but think about all of the germs their little grubby hands and feet are exposing my children to (because of course, my children are the cleanest, tidiest little bodies on the planet!) Well, I gave in a few months ago when I realized that I was being absolutely ridiculous...how many children go into that place and come out just fine, right? WRONG!!! We were informed by mall security that a child had peed, yes peed, in the corner! How could a parent be so oblivious that their child would have the opportunity, or the time!, to urinate? So, back to over-paranoid, mean mommy I go.

Anyway, onto the weekend I go. My hubby washed the cars this weekend. Which is hilarious because the forecast calls for rain this week. I am starting to believe that he truly is the Rain Whisperer. It's not just a joke in our house that every time he washes the cars, it rains, it really does happen!

While Daddy washed, CJ went fishing :)

And Jordan ate Goldfish crackers :)

After looking at those pictures, I feel sorry for my poor boys. They have definitely inherited Daddy's skin tone, or lack thereof. Look at all of their legs! Lol!

Last night, we stayed the night at Nana and Papa's house in Madera. I wanted to do something fun with the boys, so we made Ice-Cream-In-A-Bag.

Hey, look! It's my Mom. And it's the first time that she has allowed me to take her picture for the blog.

Frank helped out, too.

And so did, CJ :)

But, oddly enough, was not as interested in eating it as he was making it.

Jo, on the other hand, absolutely loved it!

So did Nana and Papa.

After Jordan was in bed (and out of his brother's way) CJ decided to help Nana and I finish Nana's puzzle. At which time he went straight to the closet to pick out the 1000-piece puzzle he was adamant on completing last night as well.

And a goofy one for CJ's sake. I love that Nana is so willing to act silly for her great-grandkids. :)

And, last but not least, this afternoon CJ and I had to have a discussion about where naked butts belong, and the kitchen counter is not one of them. But, the picture was too cute not to share. Apparently, discussing naked bottoms is one of the funniest conversations we have ever had.

  1. haha that reminds me of a funny conversation I had with Austin the other day. He stuck his hand down the front of his pants and started scratching (seriously, its way to young for that! haha) I asked him (rhetorically) what he was doing and he said "I'm scratchin my butt!"....obviously he doesn't know the meaning of butt lol
