Friends and Banks

I mentioned earlier that we had a couple of playdates planned this week. And I am happy to say that no one got sick this time, and we were actually able to see our friends!

Cindy and Logan came over on Wednesday with the intention of getting out the water toys in an attempt to keep the boys cool. Major fail. Both Logan and Jordan thought it would be better to just sit in the shade. So, CJ had fun playing in the water until we decided to just give in and take them to the park.

We did convince each of the boys to took turns with the water rocket.

When we realized that the slides were so hot that the poor babies were going to come home missing the top layer of skin from their legs we decided playing in the backyard was a better idea.

On Thursday, we went swimming at Nana and Papa's house with Melissa, Austin, and Carson. Sorry, I don't have pictures of the actual swimming part. It seems most parents share the common fear of allowing the kiddos to swim while we're taking snapshots from outside of the pool, and not within arms reach.

We did get pictures while we were eating our ice cream sandwiches though. Who could pass up those messy little photo-ops? :)

Austin was more interested in shivering in the pool making silly faces than eating the ice cream.

When Carl came home on Friday, we took the boys to the back to deposit their piggy bank savings. It was the first time that we included the boys in one of these trips. At first, CJ was very excited. But, once he realized that the mean man behind the counter wasn't giving him his money back, he was not happy! Note to self: Deposits are easier without a crying 3-year-old in tow!

Counting his money

On the way to the car, Jordan pulled this from his pocket. It's my spare key that I keep on my nightstand. Apparently he knew exactly what to do with it. :)
