...down Memory Lane that is. :) Thank goodness for technology! We purchased a new computer early last year after our old one decided it no longer wanted to turn on. We were also smart enough, if you can even call it that, to buy an external hard drive with it. It was actually the very intelligent, a.k.a. commission-paid, Apple employee that convinced us we needed it, along with a $250 printer. Which, I might add, costs us $85 every time we replace the ink cartridges. Yes, I know, we could be a brand new printer every time. But my pictures just won't print the same, right?! Ha! I've never printed a single picture off of it. Anyway, now that I've allowed myself to ramble for a while, back to the point of this post. I was going through some things (about 80 pounds of clutter!) on my computer desk and came across some disks labeled "Backed-Up Pictures". When I popped them in my computer I did a serious happy dance! They are pictures from when CJ was a baby!!! Not all of them, but a lot of them. I still have yet to find the video of his first steps. :( Anyway, just wanted to share a few of my favorites...

Ok, so there's a story behind this picture. If you take a look at Carl's face, he's wearing quite a mischievous expression, and there's good reason for it. After 16 hours of labor I finally got an epidural. And of course the three minutes that it took for the anesthesiologist to get to me actually took three hours. I'm told it was only three minutes, but don't argue with me about that one! Anyway, after I have said some not very nice things in Carl's direction, not at him, just to him, he decided that it would be funny to rub ice on my leg and laugh when I couldn't feel it. Which is a blessing on his behalf because if I had felt it, he would have been through that window behind him.

Yes, I know...he had RED hair!

He had the most expressions of any baby I know. And they were stinkin' cute!

During his dedication

I cherish every picture of my dad and my boys together.

He loved that thing!

Scooby-do's birthday will forever be etched in my heart.
